I love telling stories through music. Music transcends the limits of time and space. It can take us to a certain place and time without actually being physically present at that particular place and time.

In 2018, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in film composition. Upon graduation, I have written music for a documentary named 'In Our Time' for ChannelNewsAsia. I have also written a couple of compositions for the Perth Summer Orchestra Camp in 2022.

Seeing students make sense of the complexities of the musical language brings me great satisfaction. The 'sound before sign' approach forms the basis from which all my musical activities are designed. I believe that all core skills are equal (i.e. listening, analysis, composition, improvisation and performance) and focusing on broad music skills that can be applied to any genre and context is important.

In 2021, I graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Masters of Teaching (secondary). I currently teach at several schools in Perth, Western Australia.
